The Montezuma International Film Festival invites you to enter your film today to this exciting celebration of indpendent film . MIFF will consider films from every country, of every length and genre. After reading the guidelines below, download the MIFF entry form

Submission Guidelines:

SHIPPING
Cost of shipping exhibition prints to the festival is the responsibility of the entrant unless a request is made prior to entry. Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival prepaid. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit. Please use only plastic or bubble pack cases when shipping entries.

CONFIRMATION
Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard or email us if you wish to receive confirmation that your entry has been received. Please do NOT ask for signature confirmation for your entry. 

RETURN OF SUBMISSION
Due to the large number of entries received submission materials and videos will not be returned.

PAYMENTS
Film submission fees must be in U.S. funds only.
  PayPal is accepted and preferred. Please make PayPal payments to montezumafilmfestival@gmail.com or click the links below. Be sure to mention you paid via PayPal on entry form.  There will be a $1 fee for on-line processing. Personal checks and money orders are accepted and should be made to MIFF.

FORMATS
A completed entry form and an entry fee must accompany each film or video. Entries must be submitted on 1/2" (standard VHS in NTSC format) videocassette or NTSC DVD. Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English or Spanish. In addition to your entry, please enclose any press kits, reviews, or publicity materials. If possible, send a menu-less DVD for screening.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Programming decisions are made by the festival directors and our selection committee. If accepted, we will notify filmmakers by email. After acceptance, the presentational format will need to be in our office two weeks before the festival.  Be sure to indicate aspect ratio of your film/video as well as any other special screening/presentation information we might need to know. We do not pay rental fees for submitted work that is programmed.

AWARDS
Although the art of filmmaking is not competitive, MIFF does give awards. The festival jury will present awards to films and videos selected as best in these categories: Drama Feature and Short,  Comedy Feature and Short, Documentary Feature and Short, Experimental, Animation, and "Best of Fest"
